As a wedding photographer, it’s always been my desire and dream to shoot a wedding on the beach. So I was thrilled when Jenna & Stephen asked me to shoot their wedding back in my home state and on the Jersey Shore. There is nothing like living in the great state of Texas, but I LOVE it when I get the chance to visit my home state of New Jersey. Growing up here with the Jersey Shore only a 45 minute drive away, going “down the shore” was something we all did on a regular basis…and it’s one of my all-time favorite spots on earth! I arrived a day early and we carved out some time after the wedding rehearsal for their seaside engagement session.

Engagement sessions are so much fun and every wedding I shoot includes one. This not only provides my couples with beautiful photos for “Save the Dates”, but it also gives me the opportunity to get to know my couples better and gives them a chance to get comfortable with being in front of the camera. Jenna & Stephen obviously didn’t use these photos for their “Save the Dates”, but it gave us a chance to have some fun in the sand, laugh and capture some beautiful moments so that on their wedding day, we felt like old friends and they could just relax in front of the camera, knowing their day was going to be captured and documented beautifully.

Jenna & Stephen are SUCH an amazing couple! JOY is the word I use to describe them. Their love for each other is completely evident and contagious! Give me a gorgeous backdrop, a beautiful couple, lots of laughter, and watch a little magic happen! This seaside engagement session was so much fun!
