When I first met Ashley & Wesley for coffee last winter, I instantly knew they would be so much fun to work with. I couldn’t wait to journey with them and capture their wedding day. Ashley chose The Springs Event Venue in Anna, Texas for their wedding and even though it was one of the stormiest days in August, everything was simply beautiful. August is the beginning of our storm season here in Texas and sometimes, these storms can get pretty wild, pretty fast! The forecast predicted rain but the weather here is never predictable as it can change on a dime. And, it did. The skies got pretty dark and the wind picked up and before we knew it, when it came time for the ceremony to begin, the storm was at it’s most intense. So, Ashley made the decision to move the ceremony inside which was still absolutely beautiful. Many brides would have been heart-broken, but Ashley took it all in stride. With the amazing talent of her mom, soon everything was set up, beautiful and ready to go in The Springs Wedding reception hall.
The creative details and all the work that Ashley and her mom put into the day were just gorgeous. There were personal touches everywhere! I loved Wesley’s face when he saw Ashley for the first time that day. And, the precious moments continued as both families gathered together to pray over the couple. Once the ceremony ended, the storm also came to an end and we were able to head outside for some photos! One of the things I loved most about the day was when Ashley and Wesley, as their first act of their marriage, chose to wash each other’s feet representing the ultimate act of service and love to each other. OH MY GOODNESS!!! These are the moments that I love!!!
The entire day was such a display of love, joy and precious moments and I couldn’t have been more honored or blessed to document the beginning of their love story! Today is Ashley’s birthday, and I couldn’t think of anything better to give her then a peak into some of my favorite moments of their day! Congratulations guys, and Happy Birthday, Ashley! XOXO, Rebecca
Many thanks to the vendors who helped make this day possible:
