Chelsea & Sam’s vintage wedding day was simply beautiful. I love getting to know my couples and documenting their love story specifically describing their style, personality and love for each other. Sam & Chelsea’s love is beautiful and a joy to watch. Words mean a big deal to these two, and this was clearly evident to everyone who shared in their precious day at Chandlers Gardens. Every detail was creatively themed to their love of literature and vintage wedding theme. Chelsea’s bouquet, was made from the pages of her favorite Harry Potter book, and her bridesmaids carried flowers made from the pages of Alice in Wonderland.

It was hard to shoot through my own tears as Chelsea and Sam read the letters they wrote to each other – so much beautiful love expressed by these two! Guests arrived to the Secret Garden at Chandlers Gardens in McKinney, Texas and walked down a tree lined pathway through the woods which led them to a beautiful, towering 200 year old oak tree. Sam wasn’t the only one in tears when the doors opened and Chelsea and her dad entered! What a vision she was! Her vintage wedding gown was perfect for her and she looked radiant! The couple wrote their own vows, which had us all in tears! My favorite part of the ceremony was when the family gathered together and prayed for the couple and just as the prayer was ending, the clouds rolled away and the sun beamed down on them and lit up the entire wedding party! Such a gorgeous moment!

The cocktail hour was set among the “Circle of Trees” where guests played Giant Jenga, Cornhole, wrote notes of encouragement on beautiful stones, and drank a special cocktail made just for Chelsea & Sam by Chelsea’s brother, Chandler! When it was time for the reception, everybody made their way into the beautiful, new Event Center and found their seats by locating their name on a card from the card catalog which also led them to their novel-themed table! How creative is that!? Every detail was carefully thought out and made with love! The party continued with fabulous music and ended with a homemade S’mores bar designed and crafted by the bride’s father, Clay!

This was a wedding I won’t soon forget, but greater still, I am blessed and honored to have had a part in telling their love story, not just in words, but in precious moments shared on their first day as husband and wife! Congratulations to you both! What a beautiful love story!
